Beauty Finds: Snoe Beauty Products

I'm not really into make-up.  My make-up would mean a light blush on the cheeks and some lipstick. IF I have time, I would put some BB cream and work on my eye brows.

While we were walking around the Metro Gaisano Dept. Store (in Marquee Mall here in our city), I was surprised to see a shelf full of Snoe (pronounced as snow-wee) Beauty products.

I heard about this Personal Care line from my younger sister (who learned about it from a friend) a couple of years ago.  Back then, the only way she can get hold of these products was by ordering online (through www.shopinas.com) and I remember her being satisfied with her beauty haul.

As I was checking Snoe's shelf, I was happy to see this particular shade of cheek blush!  I've been looking for something like this (the orangey, coral-ish shade/tone suits me better vs pinks) for some time now.

The name of this shade?  PATIENCE!
Something I need these days, Haha!

I also tried their Eye Brow Mascara  . . .

and Pore Erasing Powder on my nose. . .

I was so happy with the cheek blush because it looked natural and blended well (easily) into my skin. It was also easy to apply (I just used my finger tips, haha!).  I also like that this blush has natural ingredients like Amazonian clay.  As written in the box:
"Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin. . .It helps nourish and hydrate dry skin and restore complexion harmony. "
It also has Pomegranate, Acai Berry and Acerola Cherry which are great anti-oxidants.

As for the brow mascara (one of their bestsellers), I love the color (Khaki) and how it enhanced my brows.  The powder was just okay.  I have to try it again, haha!

The only concern I had was they are pricey.  The Cheek Blush is Php 899!

But I BELIEVE and I SUPPORT Filipino entrepreneurs (Snoe is proudly Philippine made) . . . so I did!

And I believe in taking care of one's self and doing whatever would make you feel good!

My cousin got hold of these. . . . a Sun Block which smells sooo good (it contains Acai Berry and Singkamas extract!) and a Toner. (around Php 250 each)

My sister swears by this Lippy Cheeky tint (also one of their customers' top picks) . . .

Snoe has LOOOTTTS of products to offer besides Make-up!  They have something for the Hair, Bath and Body, Skin and Acne treatment, etc.

Here's one that is interesting . . .

It has Botox Serum!

I'm loving their Hair Heroes' line as well . . .

Their Bestseller . . .an Intensive Conditioner with Morrocan Argan Oil!  My sister has tried this before and was happy about it.

Snoe products come in nice packaging and some of them even have cool and witty names like . . .

How cute ano?  Whoever thought of these names is a genius!

For more details about Snoe and its product line, please visit their web page (where you can also find their shopping site).

I've googled and found a blog post (Nov. 2012) which lists down their branches.  I am sure there are new additions to this list.  Hope you find one and be pleasantly surprised like I was! =)

Let's support our Filipino entrepreneurs!

The Cosmetic Calculator

Ladies (and it can be useful for Gents too!), I think you're going to love this!

I was going through my kikay "beauty" stuff when I saw a bottle of Clinique Toner which I haven't been using for quite some time.  Though there was no expiration date, it has the manufacturing date (2011).  However, I wasn't sure if it's still safe to use so I went online hoping to find some answer.

Then I came across the . . . Cosmetic Calculator!!! (Angels singing Alleluia in the background!  Heehee)

All you have to do is select in the drop down list the brand of the cosmetic/beauty product (the site supports a LOT of products ranging from Bath and Body Works to Chanel!) you want to inquire about and input the "batch code" (I really don't know what to call those numbers, haha!) which is found on the product.  I think finding the right code to use is the tricky part.  I had to do it several times for Clinique.  To see if this site works, I tried inquiring about another brand (Kiehl's).  There was a code in the product label which was more distinct compared to Clinique's.

I'm happy to say that the site actually works!

The result turned out to be accurate because the manufacturing date listed on the product was indeed October 2012.

This site is just so cooolll!

Thanks to the Cosmetic Calculator, I know that I have to use the Clinique toner everyday. . . .because I only have until June of this year to use it!  Haha!

By the way, when you visit the site, the tab on Cosmetic Shelf FAQs is also helpful.  Please read the site's Disclaimer too =)

Rocking Red Lipstick

Growing up, I would wear my Mom's high-heeled shoes.

I think all little girls love wearing Mommy's shoes!

As for Ate, well, love for make-up came before the shoes, haha! =)

Somebody is playing with the lipstick! =)

Which reminds me, I should ask my Mom what the brand of her lipstick was (Ate used played with her lipstick) because it's long-lasting!  It is!  Because it took me more than a few scrubs to clean the nipple, haha!

Uma-Anne Curtis sa red lipstick! =)
I must say she did a pretty good job applying it.
Yep, it was all her!

She started her day with a bottle of milk and a swipe of (bright) lipstick that put her in a good mood!

Make sure you have a tube because you might just need it someday =)

on a bad day, there is always lipstick

SkinFood's Gold Kiwi Emulsion

When I got pregnant, one of the things I put off doing was my daily beauty routine which consists of a toner and a moisturizer.  (This is just me being paranoid about the contents of beauty products that may harm the baby.  If you're pregnant and would like to maintain your routine, it's best to consult your doctor)

After giving birth and after the countless sleepless nights, I felt tired!  My eyes showed it and my skin just looked dull and tired too!  Haha!  So during a trip to the mall, when my sister went to SkinFood (a Korean brand of make-up and beauty products) looking for a lip tint (she was happy with her purchase by the way), I asked the Sales Associate what she can recommend for a mom who wants to rejuvenate her skin!  She recommended the GoldKiwi Emulsion.  I actually found it pricey compared to the moisturizers I've been using.  But the thought of using a product which was made from natural fruit products made it appealing to me.

Product Details (from SkinFood's website):
Moisture-rich, skin-whitening Gold Kiwi Emulsion restores and renews your skin from deep under, using a substance found in goldkiwis.

The emulsion's consistency is not thick and has a nice scent.  The thing I like most about it is it feels light on the skin.  Also, using a small amount of it can cover the whole face already.

After a month of using it . . . when I took this photo while Ate and I were goofing around . . .

This photo has no filter

I noticed that my skin got smoother and more radiant.  When I bought it, I didn't know that this emulsion also had a whitening effect.  I only learned about it when I went to Skin Food's website.  This product had me at "renewing and restoring the skin", the whitening effect was a bonus!

As they say, never be afraid to try something new.  I was happy with what I was using before but I'm glad I tried this and it turned out to be better for me. =)

Dove is Love

I had my hair colored a few months ago and I've been meaning to get a hair treatment but just couldn't find the time. . .now, my hair has become dull, dry and blah.

Angel Jacob's commercial (and hair!) below made me want to try Dove's Damage Therapy Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

I wish I had a "Before" picture but I can only share the "After"  . . .

This photo was taken 3 hours after I used the product and no, I didn't blow dry my hair.  I just dried it with a standard fan.  Not to sound like a  commercial, but these Dove hair products really made my hair soft, manageable and saved me from some flyaway hair.  It's looove!  (LOL)

I know there are so many hair (and beauty) products available in the market.  Trying and using them is a matter of personal taste and suitability.  I hope you'll like Dove as much as I do.

I'm a Dove Girl and I love it! (too)

Looking Fab!

Saw this today. . . .Amber Riley (aka Mercedes Jones in "Glee") is looking FAB!

Why I finally started Exercising?  I know I should have started a long time ago (but hey, as they say, "better late than never"!)

As Amber puts it . . .

"I've always been comfortable with my size.  I just decided it was time to get healthy."

I couldn't have said it better myself!

Yes to loving yourself (whatever size you are) and Yes to getting healthy!

Bad Hair Day

I know it's time to get a haircut . . . when my mom asks me WHEN I'm getting one! Haha!  (She never does that!)

Now I'm thinking of getting a different do for a change (like a bob) . . .

Or just get a trim and maintain my long, layered hair . . .

Decisions . . . .decisions. . . .*Sigh*

Whatever it is. . . the most important thing is. . . the hair style should make my face look smaller, Hahaha!

Time to Rejuvenate

I guess I am still tired from the Holidays that I feel I need some pampering!  The favorite lipstick won't do this time, haha!  And these are what's on my pampering list:

A visit to the salon for a hair treatment (I don't know when was the last time I had one!)

And threading! (I can't live without threading, haha!  If I have to choose between grooming my hair or brows, I'll pick brows!  For me, well-groomed brows really make a difference.)

Foot spa and pedicure too (My French tipped toes are now French "chipped", haha!)

I haven't done anything for my skin care after my wedding!  A facial would be nice (and a diamond peel would be great!  hehe)

Moms (and everybody else)  have those days when we just feel tired and exhausted.  And when we're exhausted, we become irritable, impatient, not a pretty picture.  So if we need a burst of energy, let us recharge and get some "Me-Time".  Let us spoil ourselves to get relaxed, to be beautiful and to feel GREAT!

And if we feel great, then we are ready to go again for our Mommy adventures.

Have a great day ahead!

Rave: Body Shop's Vitamin C Cleansing Polish Face Wash

I have a beauty regimen (of toner and moisturizer) which I should be doing every night (ideally) but sometimes (well most of the times, hehe), I'm just too tired to do anything but laze around.

And so . . . I have those days when I look at the mirror and I just feel like my skin is . . .DULL.  (Ok, this is beginning to sound like a commercial, hahaha!)

But anyhow, I'm sooo happy to have tried a product which gives my skin an instant glow . . . the Body Shop Vitamin C Cleansing Polish Face Wash!  I have to thank my sister for introducing me to this beauty find which I'm loving (raving!) right now.

What Body Shop says about this product:
Contains Amazonian camu camu berry, which is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature.  Antioxidant vitamin C brightens skin, encourages collagen production, improves elasticity and helps to protect skin from environmental pollutants.
I like it because it has a mild citrus scent, the beads aren't rough and it really does make my skin smoother, clearer and glowing (for me at least, haha!).

Love, love this product that I would definitely check out the other products in Body Shop's Vitamin C line.

So  besides my lipstick, this is my other quick fix  for those "losyang moments"  =)

What's your latest beauty find?
