I caught a couple of episodes of "Rush Hour", a new TV series which is based on the popular film (with the same name) starred by Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
While watching the pilot episode, the guy who plays Detective Lee (played by Jackie Chan in the film) looks oddly familiar and I couldn't really pinpoint where I've seen him.
Until one of the characters in the scene called him an Asian Orlando Bloom!
That was it! He does remind me of Orlando Bloom!
*Photos are from the web
Riiiigghhhtttt?
What do you think?!
So I went online and googled about this actor.
His name is Jon Foo. He is an English actor, a Martial Artist and a stuntman. He was born and raised in London and is of Chinese and Irish descent.
His most popular role was probably Jin Kazama in the film "Tekken".
To know more about him and his filmography, please click on this link.
If you are going to ask me about the show, it's just okay. It can be better. It actually had mixed reviews.
As for me, I don't mind watching it if it means getting a dose of Orlando Bloom-ish every week, haha!
Random thoughts of a Stay-at-Home Mom . . . on anything, anyone and whatever else that catches her fancy.

That Could Have Been . . . Them!
I was watching a TV special about "Friends" and they've mentioned that the role of Rachel (played by Jennifer Aniston) was first offered to Tea Leoni. With the commercial success of Friends, everyone has fallen in love with the whole cast that I'm sure we can't imagine other actors playing the roles of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross and Joey. (If you want to read more about the other actors who were considered for the cast of "Friends", please click on this link )
Then I found this online by chance--- a list of actors who have passed up on Iconic roles.

| Will Smith as Neo (Matrix) |
![]() |
| Dana Delaney as Carrie Bradshaw (Sex in the City) This one, I cannot imagine AT ALL! SJP is Carrie and Carrie is SJP, enough said, Haha! |
![]() |
| Molly Ringwald as Vivian Ward (Pretty Woman) |
![]() |
| John Travolta as Forrest Gump |
![]() |
| Bette Midler as Sis. Mary Clarence (Sister Act) Bette Midler turned down this role because she thought her fans would have some concerns over her playing the role of a nun |
![]() |
| Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones I think Tom Selleck is a good choice for the role and I can see him playing it actually. But I just love Harrison Ford more =) |
![]() |
| Jack Nicholson as Michael Corleone (The Godfather) It's been said that Jack Nicholson turned down this role, not because he didn't like it. He just felt that an Italian should play the role. |
![]() |
| Sandra Bullock as Maggie Fitzgerald (Million Dollar Baby) The story goes that there was a delay in the production so Sandra "packed her bags" and dropped out from this movie project |
![]() |
| Julia Roberts as Leigh Anne Tuohy (The Blind Side) Julia turned downed the role because she is set to do a movie (Valentine's Day) with Garry Marshall, the director who gave her break in Pretty Woman |
As I was going through the list, I have picked up a thing or two from the stories behind these what ifs and could have beens:
1. When we give too much importance on what other people have to say, we end up losing because it stops us from doing what we want.
2. Patience is a virtue . . . and good things happen to those who wait =)
3. Giving up something doesn't mean we are weak, it means that we know ourselves better and that we acknowledge our strengths and weaknesses.
4. You cannot put a price to the relationship you have built with the people who have made a difference in your life.
These actors have their own reasons why they passed up on these roles and I'm sure that somehow, there is a feeling of regret to most of them (if not all). Just like them, I'm sure we have our stories to tell. But we shouldn't dwell on these regrets. Instead, let us learn from them.
Here's to more opportunities to come our way. . . and the courage to take our chances!

Beauty and the Beast

Catherine Chandler, a detective, witnessed her mother being shot the same night she is saved from her mother´s murderers by a supposed beast. Nine years later, a case leads her to discover that Vincent Keller, an ex soldier, dead in act during military service is actually alive. As Catherine gets to know him, she starts finding out more about her mother´s murder and about who (and what) Vincent really is. At the same time a complicated relationship grows between them...
Tonight's episode (the Mid-Season finale) was one of the best . . . *sigh* . . . kiliggg!
Love the episode, love this scene, and looove the cover for the The Calling's song "Wherever You Will Go".
And if you loved it just like I did, here's the full version of it as sang by Charlene Soraia.
To Zola's Dad, we didn't get to dance on our Wedding Day. . . it's not too late. I know you don't like to dance but I would love that we can dance to this song too.
I get to be Beauty and you're the . . . BEST! (Who said anything about being the Beast?! Haha!)
Love you Dear . . .
Two Peas in a Pod 5
One of my favorite TV series which premiered last October in the US is Chicago Fire. The show tells us the challenges faced by the firemen and paramedics (both at work and in their personal lives) in one of the fire stations of the Chicago Fire Department. This drama has a good cast of characters, riveting plots in each episode. . . and another reason to watch it. . .I'll let these photos do the talking, haha!
Photos courtesy of: www.justjared.com
This is one fireman (Lt. Kelly Severide played by Taylor Kinney) who doesn't put out fire. . . but starts one! HOTNESS!!!
He actually reminds me of Grey Anatomy's McSteamy . . . what do you think?
Guess I'll call him McHottie then! Heehee
Trivia: Did you know (I didn't!) that our fireman has been in a relationship with Lady Gaga since September last year?

Who's your Daddy?!
Not so long ago, the Little One saw Jericho Rosales (a Filipino actor) performing at a TV variety show and said "Papa, Papa"
![]() |

And just a few weeks ago, we were watching TV and the Little One saw John Lloyd Cruz (another Filipino actor) in this commercial . . .
And guess what, she said "Papa, Papa" again!
Well I guess . . . I married somebody with movie star looks then??!! Hahaha!
Huney, you will always be my favorite leading man. . . =)
Have a nice weekend everyone!

Of Flying Kisses and Xian
The Little One (at ten months) has learned to do the following things: clapping her hands, waving her hand to say bye-bye or hello, salute (her grandfather taught her this one), make "mano" (a Filipino tradition where one kisses the elder's hand to show respect), she puts the phone in her ear and knows how to use a toothbrush. She is slowly expanding her vocabulary (which includes diaper, tummy, nose, teeth, tongue, milk) and recognizes the other members of the family. But there's one thing she just can't seem to do easily. . . to blow a flying kiss. (I knowww!!! She can salute or make "mano" but she can't blow a kiss?! Haha!) But as they say, Repetition is important in teaching a child. You would surely see so many flying kisses being blown at our home everyday! But this afternoon, while watching TV, I saw her put her hand over her mouth and OMG, did a "flying kiss." (Woohoo!) We didn't tell her do it. She just suddenly blew one when she saw this TV commercial. . . or shall I say . . . . when she saw "him".
"Him" is Xian Lim, a Filipino-Chinese model and actor. I don't know if it was because of McDonald's or because of Xian, haha!
At any rate, guess this means that we have the same taste, we both love McD AND Xian! Haha!
I have to get Star Studio's latest issue for her then (I mean for us. . .teehee)

Who knows, the magazine might come in handy. . . just in case she won't do her flying kiss again!

Two Peas in a Pod 4
I caught the movie "The Crazies" last Saturday in Star Movies and when I saw its lead actor, Timothy Olyphant . . .
I remembered seeing him in the TV Series, "Justified", where I mistook him for . . .
Josh Duhamel!
They just don't look almost the same, they're both HOT too!

Oh My Jake!
I was able to catch "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" in cable today and truth be told, I lost count how many times I watched this movie . . . .all because of Jake Gyllenhaal! Haha! (I ALWAYS misspell his last name!)

Can you blame me? Teehee

Yes, even when his role called for this unkempt look! Haha!
I loooovveee him! *gushing*
Well, actually him and Heath Ledger (whose untimely passing I still mourn)

They may not be a Tom Cruise or a Brad Pitt but I think they are brilliant actors and are special in their own way.
Who's your favorite Hollywood actor?
Note to Zola's Dad:.
Hun, you will always be the sexiest and most gorgeous guy for me!
XOXO =)

Two Peas in a Pod 3
We caught the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)" last night and I've noticed that one housemate, Divine (a half-Filipino, half-Brit tatoo artist who hails from Cebu and is the first lesbian to be a part of PBB) sort of looks like . . . .Justin Bieber! LOL (Cue Justin's "Baby" song here. . .)

What do you think? =)
Will share some more in the coming days =)
Enjoy your weekend!

Two Peas in a Pod 2
I was watching Star Movies last week and was surprised to see a preview of a new Narnia movie. I'm sooo looking forward to watching it and made a mental note of the movie's schedule (bad idea, you'll know why later). I didn't even know that there is already a third installment for the Chronicles of Narnia film series! I can't wait to watch the "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". . . And I can't wait to see the White Witch again! She's one character I hate but would love to see again, haha!

When I saw the White Witch at the first Narnia movie ("The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe"), I thought she was Cate Blanchett! Haha!
So as a follow up to my "Two Peas in a Pod" post, I thought of googling for some pictures. And as I did, I learned that I wasn't alone in mixing them up!
Here are some of the photos I saw:

Two Peas in a Pod
Is it just me or do you also get confused with these Hollywood celebrities?
I was watching "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and I honestly thought that the lead actress was the same one who starred in the movie "Enchanted".
To set the facts straight for these two actresses:
Amy Adams' filmography includes "Enchanted", "Julie and Julia" and as Amelia Earheart in "Night at the Museum:Battle of the Smithsonian".
Isla Fisher's works include "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and she lent her voice in the cartoon movies "Horton Hears a Who" and "Rango". By the way, she is also the wife of Sacha Baron Cohen.
They look alike to me. . .what do you think?

Last one, don't you think Amy (on the left) also looks like Nicole Kidman? LOL

Okay I'll stop before this turns into a game! Haha!
